This stage is arguably the most important of all. To understand what is required on a project is not as easy as it sounds. We at SDA have a long history in building close relationships with our clients in order to have a solid understanding of expectations. We see it as an essential part of the process and value the importance of listening and understanding our clients, then building on this brief to create the solution.

We feel it is important to work closely with our clients to fully appreciate and understand what they want and need. It is this stage we hone and define our designs making sure that the process starts off with the best possible footings.
STATUTORY
PLANNING AND BUILDING REGULATIONS
A vital part of any project is ensuring all statutory requirements with relevant bodies are adhered to efficiently. Working with planning officers and producing information to meet their requirements and coordinating other consultants throughout this process. We work with Local authorities or approved inspectors in relation to building regulations, ensuring the design meets standards at the very beginning, drawing on our vast experience.
TECHNICAL
DETAIL AND TECHNICAL STAGE
We develop the approved designs producing highly technical details and specifications. Creating clear, concise and detailed tender information for accurate costings and programmes. This important stage of the process is the foundation to build from for the construction of the project. Supporting, reviewing and reporting with tender appraisals and assisting in appointing the best contractors for the project.
BUILD
CONSTRUCTION STAGE
Working alongside and supporting the principal contractor throughout the construction stage with detailed construction information and helping resolve any arising queries. Communicating progress & costs with the client and documenting the process throughout. You are in safe hands.
HANDOVER
COMPLETION AND HANDOVER
We are there with you right to the end of your project. SDA will be involved following Practical completion giving you support as you take ownerships of your new space. Ensuring all elements of the build are satisfactory and all operating & maintenance information is received and in working order.
